The Brazilian-Arab Chamber of Commerce revealed that imports of Brazilian products to Arab countries rose to $ 1.22 billion in February, an increase of 7 per cent compared to the same period in 2018, which totaled $ 1.14 billion.
The Brazilian-Arab Chamber of Commerce stated that Brazilian imports to the Arab countries included mineral fuels, mineral oils, bituminous materials, metal waxes, fertilizers, plastics, salt and sulfur, as well as building materials, plastering, lime, cement, fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates, .
Algeria topped the list of top Arab countries from Brazil with 425 million dollars, followed by Saudi Arabia with 372.8 million dollars, while the United Arab Emirates recorded total revenues of 102.47 million dollars and Egypt worth 61.2 million dollars.
“The recent figures for 2019 underscore the strength of growing trade relations between Brazil and the Arab countries and demonstrate our continued commitment to working closely with Arab countries to help increase the growth of mutual trade in all sectors,” said Rubens Hanoun, President of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
