JD 11.6 million worth of foreign investment in the Jordan Amman Stock Exchange

The statistics of Jordan’s Amman Stock Exchange showed that net non-Jordanian investments in the stock exchange during the month of August rose by JD 11.6 million, compared with a rise of JD 9.9 million for the same month of 2017.

The value of shares purchased by non-Jordanian investors during the month of August 2018 amounted to JD 79.5 million, representing 41.5 percent of the total trading volume. The total value of shares sold by the non-Jordanian investors during the month of August 2018 amounted to JD 67.9 million Dinar.

The value of shares purchased by non-Jordanian investors since the beginning of the year until the end of August amounted to JD 338.9 million, constituting 31.4 percent of the total trading volume, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD 311 million. Thus, net non-Jordanian investments increased by JD 27.9 million, compared to a decrease of JD 338.8 million for the same period in 2017.
