15% increase in non-petroleum Egyptian exports

Egypt’s non-oil exports increased 15% to $ 10.966 billion during the first five months of this year compared to $ 512.9 billion for the same period in 2017. The total volume of foreign trade amounted to 37.562 billion dollars, a growth rate of 12.5% ​​for the period from January to May 2018 compared to the same period of 2017. Egyptian exports to the European Union amounted to 3 billion and 68 million dollars for the year 2017 compared to 2.568 billion in 2016, an increase of 19%. While the volume of Egyptian exports to African countries amounted to $ 705 million, 2017 compared to $ 353 million for the year 2016, an increase of the past 2016.
