Expo 2020 Dubai has announced a cooperation agreement with UAE-based electronic security and security firm Dark Mater to employ security solutions that guarantee the protection of the digital experience for millions of visitors and about 200 participants in a global destination. Under the agreement, Dubai-based Drake Mater – the e-security provider of Expo 2020 – will become Dubai’s official service provider and will oversee the electronic security of the full digital platform of Expo 2020 Dubai as well as the applications and data it supports. Expo 2020 Dubai will employ some of the latest and most secure technology solutions to enable visitors, participating countries, partners, employees and volunteers to maintain their data and applications on their digital platform. Due to the growing importance of smart devices, digital applications and data, electronic security has become a major priority for any global event. DarkMater will offer a range of services including e-security monitoring, risk assessment, incident response and digital investigative services in preparation for, during and after the Dubai Expo 2020. “In today’s interconnected and connected world there is a constant and compelling need for innovative e-security solutions and our goal is to ensure the security and protection of the data and applications of Expo 2020 according to the global standards applied in the field of information security,” said Mohammed Al Hashemi, Senior Vice President, Innovation and Future Technology, Expo 2020. “Electronic security is a rapidly evolving field so it is important to partner with industry experts such as Dark Mater to develop solutions that maintain the security of the digital infrastructure of Expo 2020 Dubai.
