The number of national companies in Dubai registered within the government procurement program has reached about 1500 companies, within the framework of meeting the needs and purchases of the entities listed within the Government of Dubai’s 84 entities. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development invited national entrepreneurs to register and join the Foundation to enable them to register in the Government Procurement Program in Dubai and benefit from tenders and contracts. Raafat Radwan Wahba, Director of Corporate Development, said that the total value of government procurement contracts provided by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises for members of the Government Procurement Program amounted to AED 208 million in 2017, a growth rate of 41% The value of procurement contracts during 2016, and is expected to witness the current year, good results and a variety of services provided by national companies to government agencies. And praised the role of the Foundation in cooperation with the Department of Finance, which aims to activate the stimulus initiatives adopted in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “and support for entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises, The initiative of many parties involved in direct coordination with the institution to allocate about 20% of the government tenders for small and medium enterprises, to diversify the macro economy of the Emirate and expand the market for small and medium enterprises and sustain their growth.
