The UAE-Greek Business Forum, organized by the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and the Union of Greek Companies, discussed the requirements of reaching effective and successful partnerships in localization of investments and development of promising sectors.
“The UAE and Greece enjoy dynamic economic relations and have successfully built sustainable partnerships in various fields of development,” said Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy.
He added: “The UAE is keen to intensify cooperation and joint efforts with Greece in many areas of common interest, mainly SMEs, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as value added sectors such as trade, industry, tourism, agriculture and renewable energy.
The trade partnership between the two countries is growing. Non-oil trade between the two countries exceeded US $ 212 million in the first nine months of 2017, a growth of 10% over the same period of 2016. The average growth of trade exchanges between the two countries In the last five years, about 8.4%. He also expected that the relations between the two countries will continue to grow further in the coming period, in light of the desire of the two countries to explore new opportunities and engines to enhance their development cooperation and their continuous efforts to develop the investment climate and develop their business environment.
