The total trade volume between the UAE and Japan reached $22.86 billion (83.9 billion dirhams) during the first six months to June of 2023, down slightly from $24.4 billion in the first half of 2022.
According to the latest data issued by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the volume of Japanese exports to the UAE amounted to $4.78 billion (17.5 billion dirhams) during the six months, while imports from the UAE, including oil, amounted to $18.1 billion (66.4 billion dirhams).
The volume of international trade between the two countries during the month of June reached $3.29 billion (12 billion dirhams), compared to $4.18 billion (15.34 billion dirhams) last March. The volume of Japanese exports to the UAE amounted to $829 million (3 billion dirhams) in June, while the country’s imports from the UAE amounted to $2.46 billion (9 billion dirhams).
The total volume of international trade between the UAE and Germany amounted to $8.7 billion (31.8 billion dirhams) during the first six months of 2023. According to data from the German Federal Bureau of Statistics, the volume of German exports to the UAE amounted to $4.5 billion (16.5 billion dirhams) until the end of June. / June 2023, while imports from the UAE recorded $4.2 billion (15.4 billion dirhams).
German exports to the UAE rose to $726 million (2.6 billion dirhams) in June, up from $725 million in May, while imports from the UAE fell to $161 million (591 million dirhams).
