The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia signed a contract for the implementation of the expansion of the first stage of the wastewater treatment plant in Al-Ahsa with a capacity of 180 thousand cubic meters per day at a total value of 243 million riyals.
The project aims at implementing the expansion of the existing wastewater treatment plant in Al-Ahsa governorate with a capacity of 180 thousand cubic meters per day. The total processing capacity in Al-Ahsa is 360 thousand cubic meters per day, benefiting the General Establishment of Irrigation in supporting the farmers in Al-Ahsa governorate. World standard.
It is worth mentioning that the project of expansion of the sewage treatment plant in Al-Ahsa is one of the Ministry’s projects, which seeks to increase the efficiency of environmental treatment in Al-Ahsa governorate and to deliver sewage services and benefit from treated water in agricultural irrigation in Al-Ahsa.
