AED 3.6 billion Abu Dhabi aluminum trade in 9 months

Abu Dhabi’s aluminum trade was AED 3.6 billion in the first nine months of 2018, up 2.8 percent from AED 3.5 billion in the same period in 2017, according to the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center.
According to statistics, the aluminum trade accounted for about 3 per cent of the total non-oil trade of the emirate during the first nine months of 2018, amounting to 122.2 billion dirhams.
The aluminum industry in Abu Dhabi and the UAE has been developing significantly over the last five years, enhancing its position and raising the competitiveness of the national product globally.
The value of the emirate ‘s exports to this commodity rose to AED 3.04 billion from the beginning of this year to the end of September, up 1.3 per cent compared to AED 2.981 billion in the same period of 2017.
On the other hand, imports amounted to 550 million dirhams at the end of September 2018, a growth of about 9 percent compared to the same period of 2017.
