3200 families benefit from the first phase of the “Abu Dhabi Social Support Program”

The Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority (ADSSA) announced that 3,200 low-income families benefited from the first phase of the Abu Dhabi Social Support Program retroactively to January 2019. The beneficiaries of the program were 19248 beneficiaries.
The Abu Dhabi Social Support Program was launched in early January this year with the aim of enhancing the standard of living and decent living for low-income Emirati families in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through financial support and assistance to individuals who can work on their own through training and rehabilitation.
The terms and conditions of the Abu Dhabi Social Support Program are that the applicant family will be from low-income national households, with a registration copy issued by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and that the total monthly household income is less than the approved support line.
Engineer Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, said: “During the last period, we have been keen to study all the requests received by the program in an accurate manner. The electronic link with many government and banking authorities provided us with all the information related to the developed families. The disbursement of financial payments to beneficiary families before the end of the holy month of Ramadan to support these families. ”
“Supporting these families and empowering their able-bodied individuals is part of our leadership’s vision to help low-income families, achieve their social stability and financial independence,” he said. He added that the program continues to receive applications for the following stages to facilitate citizens and to reach all income-earning families Limited.
HE Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri referred to the effort exerted by all the staff of the Authority, who are working on the program and who number more than 70 employees, each working hard and diligently to achieve the vision of the program and its main objective in achieving the living stability of the national families and fulfilling their basic needs.
He explained that all applications are examined according to the status of the family based on a number of criteria and conditions. The most important of these is the approved support line, which was determined based on a number of methodological studies on the rate of spending of national households in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Social Support Program, in addition to its financial support, enables individuals who are able to work to facilitate their access to jobs that match their potential and abilities in partnership with a number of government agencies.
Beneficiaries who are able to work are determined by a number of factors, most notably age and health status, which will bring them stability and financial independence.
The Social Support Program is part of the Abu Dhabi Government’s “Tomorrow 21” program at the Community Development Hub, which aims to maintain a strong and cohesive society that embraces everyone and allows them to participate in opportunities.
“Tomorrow 21” aims to accelerate economic growth in Abu Dhabi and make it one of the best places in the world to do business, investment, living, work and visit, and stimulate the economic agenda of Abu Dhabi, adopted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with a budget of 50 billion dirhams for the next three years.
The program’s development plan is based on four main axes: stimulating business and investment, developing society, developing the knowledge and innovation system, and enhancing the lifestyle.
