36.6 billion euros surplus in the German budget last year

Germany reported a budget surplus of 36.6 billion euros last year, according to economic data released today by the German statistical office.
The German Statistical Office announced in November that Europe’s largest economy grew in 2017 by a strong 2.2 percent to its fastest rate in six years.
