37% growth in digital customs transactions in Abu Dhabi during the first half

The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs recorded a growth in digital customs transactions through the border ports of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by 37% during the first half of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, achieving a growth of 35.8% in goods clearance service transactions, and 20% in goods clearance service transactions. Abu Dhabi Customs also recorded a 6% growth in customs declaration transactions completed during the first six months of 2023, and pre-arrival clearance transactions recorded a growth of 38% of the total customs clearance procedures transactions at various customs ports across the emirate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The percentage of customs clearance procedures before arrival reached 57% of exit data, and 22% of entry data during the first half of 2023, which constituted a qualitative addition after allowing the clearance of goods for non-resident individuals and unregistered companies from outside the country, within the framework of the “Abu Dhabi Customer Experience Program.” “Without Effort”, to raise the level of customer satisfaction by reducing the time of customs release in the customs clearance process, reducing costs by reducing floor fees and the storage period before the clearance process, and expanding the granting of customs facilities to companies.
