Dubai, March 20 / The proceeds of the first public auction for the current year 2023 for the distinctive plate numbers of vehicles in Dubai amounted to (38) million and (210) thousand dirhams.
Auction No. (112), organized by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, took place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on March 18th.
The number (AA15) achieved the highest price value, as it was sold at (5) million and (220) thousand dirhams, followed by the number (AA20) at 3 million and (780) thousand dirhams, the number (R76) at one million (880) thousand dirhams, and the number (Y55555). Which was sold for one million (700) thousand dirhams, then the number (X6666) and sold for one million (320) thousand dirhams.
The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai offered (90) distinctive numbers during its public auction, which included two, three, four and five digits, for the distinctive plates for vehicles of the following categories: (AA-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-Z), and the authority follows an effective strategy based on plans during offering the distinctive numbers in its public or electronic auctions. Studied based on impartiality, transparency, and providing equal opportunities to distinguished numbers lovers who seek to acquire them through the authority’s auctions, because these distinguished numbers represent important occasions, symbols, events, and stations in their lives.
