4.7million visitors to Dubai in 3 months

Dubai’s growth report for the first quarter of 2009 showed 4.7 million international visitors with a growth of 2% thanks to its multiple components and facilities. The tourism sector has achieved remarkable growth rates, surpassing the challenges and impact of global currency fluctuations.

The 25th session of the Arab Travel Market concluded yesterday with the position of Dubai on the world tourism map, attracting the international hotel companies and the most important governmental tourism agencies from different countries in the world in order to draw the features of the sector and to explore its future and monitor its horizons. According to the Department of Tourism, the three main markets exporting tourism to the emirate maintained its advanced positions, with India leading the increase by 7%, followed by Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
