Economic data showed US housing sales in January fell unexpectedly.
Existing home sales fell 3.2 percent from a month ago to 5.38 million units a year from 5.56 million units a year, according to data released last December, the National Association of Real Estate Developers said in the United States.
With this unexpected monthly decline, existing home sales fell by 4.8% over the same month last year, the biggest annual decline since August 2014.
