412 billion dirhams capital of companies participating in the Emirates Securities Commission

The total capital of local public shareholding companies registered with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) was approximately AED 412 billion during the year 2018, a growth of about 1% compared to 2017.
The value of capital of listed companies in the Abu Dhabi Securities Market reached 94.8 billion dirhams. The capital of companies listed on DFM reached AED 115.2 billion and AED 201.8 billion represented the capital of unlisted companies.
According to official statistics, the number of public shareholding companies registered with the Securities and Commodities Authority reached 168 companies, including 119 non-governmental companies and 49 government companies.
The Investment and Financial Services sector topped the list with a total capital of AED 149.3 billion. Banks followed second with a total capital of AED 75.2 billion, followed by real estate with a total capital of AED 58.6 billion and a transport sector of AED 32 billion. Followed by services sector 28.1 billion dirhams, energy 22 billion dirhams, insurance, 14.5 billion dirhams, communications 13.2 billion dirhams, consumer goods 10 billion dirhams and industry 7.7 billion dirhams.
Followed by the insurance sector with 35 companies, followed by the services sector with 29 companies followed by the banking sector with 26 companies followed by the energy sector 17 companies, investment and financial services 14 companies and the same number of industrial companies and 13 companies operating in the real estate sector and the same number in the sector Consumer goods, 5 companies in the transport sector and two telecommunications companies.
The number of companies listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange reached 70 companies with a 51% share of total listed companies. The number of companies listed on the Dubai Stock Exchange reached 67 companies representing 49% of the total number of listed companies in the UAE.
