According to figures from Jordan’s statistics department, the industrial producer price index for the first five months of this year rose to 118.95 from 112.55 for the same period of 2017, increasing the index by 5.7%. The rise was due to the index of manufacturing prices by 4.91 percentage points, with a relative importance of 86.0%, and the index of extractive industries by 0.89 percentage points, with a relative importance of 8.2%, while the electricity price index decreased by 0.12 percentage points 5.8%.
