Khalifa Fund supports 223 projects in agriculture and fishing and 190 industrial projects

The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has targeted 5 major strategic sectors in 2018: Leisure and Leisure, Services, Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities, ICT and Support Services, all of which are solid pillars of economic diversification. The Khalifa Fund seeks to rehabilitate a new generation of entrepreneurs, deepen the entrepreneurial culture among young Emiratis, support innovative projects and move from economic entrepreneurship to innovative entrepreneurship in the UAE based on quality initiatives aimed at optimizing investment in innovative national capacities. “This year, the Fund seeks to support small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who want to work in the most dynamic and vibrant sectors, which promise a prosperous and promising future,” said Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki, CEO of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development. Al-Darmaki pointed out that there are about 209 projects in Abu Dhabi and the northern regions of the country within these targeted sectors, where the Fund attaches great importance to the need to develop and enhance incubators’ role in transforming the creative ideas of citizens into viable projects that support the social and economic development in the country. Agriculture and fishing projects reflect 223 projects funded by the Khalifa Fund in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the northern regions of the country, all based on state-of-the-art technology and technology. In contrast, the number of industrial projects is about 190 projects in Abu Dhabi and the northern regions of the country, which the Fund supports and assists in line with the government’s plan to raise the contribution of the industrial sector to 25% of GDP by 2030 by focusing on large manufacturing industries. As for the food sector, the Fund supports 133 successful and promising projects while 146 projects are financed within the retail and retail sector in Abu Dhabi and the northern regions of the country.
