50 new ATMs enter the service in the country within a year

The electronic banking services sector witnessed the entry of 50 new ATMs in the last 12 months, according to statistics issued by the Central Bank of UAE and monitoring the activity of the banking system in the country.
The increase in the number of ATMs reflected the continued expansion of the banks operating in the country by automating their services and in line with the best international practices in facilitating the customers on the one hand and in line with the smart government strategy.
The number of ATMs operating in the UAE increased to 5293 during the first nine months of 2018, an increase of approximately 1% compared to 5243 in the same period of 2017.
Statistics show that the third quarter of this year was the largest activity in the expansion of banks by the strategy of automation of services, where the number of ATMs that entered the service 32 devices after the total rose from 5261 devices in June to 5293 devices by the end of September.
