66 billion dirhams volume of trade between the UAE and Spain in 7 years

The Commissioner of the Federal Customs Authority, Ali Ben Sobeih Al Kaabi, discussed with the delegation of the Kingdom of Spain ways to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of joint customs work and increase the trade between the two countries.
This came during the meeting of Commissioner Ali Al Kaabi at the headquarters of the Authority in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning, both Alvarez de Antonio Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the State, and Jean Bernard Bolvan, Deputy Ambassador of the European Mission.
In a press release obtained by MediaA, Al-Kaabi stressed the keenness of the Federal Customs Authority to enhance cooperation with strategic partners worldwide and exchange experiences in the customs sectors to enhance the efficiency of the customs sector in the country, praising the level of commercial relations linking Both the UAE and Spain decades ago.
Spain is one of the best strategic trading partners of the UAE. Statistics of the Federal Customs Authority showed that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached 66.1 billion dirhams ($ 16.5 billion) during the period from 2011 to the end of 2017, with a growth rate of 23% Between 2011 and 2017.
The UAE’s imports from Spain during the period amounted to about 52.2 billion dirhams, while the value of UAE exports to about 4 billion dirhams, and the value of re-exports 4 billion dirhams
