Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) has announced the launch of the world’s largest desalination plant with reverse osmosis technology at a cost of $ 1.2 billion.

The Abu Dhabi Water Desalination Project, through reverse osmosis technology, represents the largest desalination project in the world.

It called on the coalitions and developers to pay attention to the implementation of this project in accordance with the model of the independent product applied by the Commission within the privatization program in partnership with the private sector, where the Authority will own 60% of the shares of the project, while the developer will own the remaining 40%.
