During the first quarter of this year, the Department issued decisions to close 47 licensed commercial establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi due to the frequent and repeated violations of the regulations and the results of licensed economic activity and monitoring continuous violations of circulars issued by the Abu Dhabi Business Center of the Department.
Mohammed Muneef Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Business Center, said that the closure decisions issued by the Department are part of the Abu Dhabi Government’s keenness to regulate the emirate’s business sector and reduce any excesses that could harm the emirate’s economy and create a competitive and competitive business environment. For his part, Ahmed Tarash Al Qubaisi, Director of the Department of Commercial Protection in the Department said that the closure decisions included a number of explicit violations of commercial establishments including cafes, coffee shop, various shops, billiard halls, car repair shops, medical equipment and pharmacy.
Al Qubaisi said that 25 commercial establishments have been issued closure decisions for violating the non-compliance with the requirements and regulations for the activity of cafés and coffee shops and 16 closure decisions for shops because of raising prices to consumers without any justification.
