ABU DHABI – ‘Hassantuk’ initiative to be implemented by Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties (ADCP) across entire portfolio of properties

Media IN/ABU DHABI, 23rd April, 2019.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties(ADCP) has announced the implementation of the ‘Hassantuk’ initiative. This is the first of its kind and it is described as a cutting-edge life and property safety monitoring solution, across its portfolio of managing properties to ensure compliance to all safety requirements.

The ministry of interior iniatiated the Hassantuk and described it as a strategic smart city aimed at revolutionalising the UAE’s ability to respond to emergency events, as part of the country’s goal is to be one of the safest places in the world in line with the UAE Vision 2021. The respective Civil Defence Departments in each Emirate are responsible for overseeing the implementation of the initiative, in collaboration with both Etisalat and du.
“Caring for the safety and wellbeing of our tenants has always been our key priority. We now find another potential safety opportunity through our collaboration with Civil Defence Departments towards the fulfilment of the ambitious Hassantuk programme designed and implemented to cover the UAE.” Said Mohamed Binbrek, General Manager of ADCP.

With the aim of protecting lives and properties across the UAE, the scheme connects all buildings and properties to the Hassantuk Alarm Receiving Center via the Alarm Transmission Equipment, ATE, which is installed in each building. In case of a fire or life threating event, the ATE will immediately send the alarm to Hassantuk, which verifies the received alarm.
Upon verification, the alarm is automatically reported to the emergency services within seconds, providing them with situational intelligence and making their response more effective to keep the cities smarter and safer. Since the introduction of Hassantuk, more than 1100 buildings managed by ADCP were surveyed and close to 900 ATEs were installed.
The initial phase of ATE installation requires buildings across the UAE to be surveyed for suitability; suitable buildings will be scheduled to have ATE installed, while a rectification notice detailing the work required and timescales for this is issued for buildings needing repair or upgrade to receive ATE.
