Abu Dhabi’s hotel revenue growth was 22% last July

Hotels’ operating income in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi rose by 22% during the month of July this year compared with June, according to the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center, which showed an annual growth rate of 4.5%. According to international indicators, Abu Dhabi is ranked among the most attractive areas of tourism in the Middle East with the support of advanced infrastructure in the sector as well as the attractive tourist environment both at the level of prices and entertainment facilities available. In light of the strong growth in revenues, the index of hotel accommodation prices in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi rose by 1.6% in July compared to June. The overall overnight price index rose by 5.4% at the end of July 2018 compared to the same month of 2017. The hotel price index rose by 4% in July 2018 compared to June of the same year, while the annual price index of accommodation decreased by 6.2%. According to the latest statistics, the number of hotel establishments in the emirate reaches about 163 establishments (including hotels, resorts and hotel apartments), noting that there are many projects being implemented to serve the tourism sector and is expected to enter service during the coming period.
