The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a positive note, backed by Aldar Properties’ stock.
The ADX’s general index went up 13.15 points, or 0.25%, to 5,357.01 points.
Trading volume amounted to 104.810 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 229.740 million through 2,356 transactions.
Market capitalisation added AED 1.11 million and closed the session at AED 546.503 billion.
The energy, the real estate, and the banks sectors rose by 3.09%, 1.29%, and 0.08%, respectively, while the telecommunication sector was the sole decliner with a decrease of 0.34%.
Aldar Properties’ stock jumped by 1.30%, recording its highest level since January 2018.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 41.133 million, while Dana Gas outperformed the stocks in terms of traded volume with 39.871 million shares.
