DFM closed in Green Zone on Wednesday

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) hit record highs on Wednesday on the back of the rising blue-chip stock.

The DFM’s general index jumped 23.21 points, or 0.82%, finishing today’s trading session at 2,855.74 points, its highest level since August 2018.

Trading volume stood at 299.563 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 383.476 million through 4,509 transactions.

Market capitalisation gained AED 1.67 million and closed the session at AED 370.489 billion.

The investment and financial sector led winners with an increase of 1.62%, followed by the real estate sector which added 1.58%.

The consumer goods and the banks sectors levelled up 0.79% and 0.19%, respectively.

Emaar Properties outperformed stocks in terms of liquidity with a turnover of AED 58.33 million.

The DFM’s blue-chip stocks rose collectively, including Damac Properties and Emirates NBD that jumped 5.88% to AED 0.99 and 0.43% to AED 11.80, respectively.
