Revenues of National Petroleum Construction Company, a subsidiary of General Holding Company, Abu Dhabi Industries, amounted to AED 5.3 billion at the end of last year, an increase of 7% compared to AED 4.9 billion in 2017, indicating the size of the company, its projects and market value.
The company also posted a profit of AED 891 million before interest, tax and depreciation for operating profit of AED 700 million in 2017, an increase of 27%.
Dr. Mohammed Rashid Al Hamli, Chairman of Petroleum Construction Company, praised the extraordinary efforts exerted by His Excellency Hussein Jassim Al Nuwais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the former company during the past ten years and other members of the Board of Directors. He also highlighted the company’s position in the ranks of the world’s largest companies operating in the field of oilfield and energy services .
He added that the company continues to explore investment opportunities both in the regional markets nearby or at the level of international markets. He pointed out that the National Petroleum Construction Company is present in the local market strongly and has managed to acquire a share not only a few in the Gulf markets and some regional markets such as the Indian market, One of the company’s priorities and objectives is to enter new markets.
Eng. Ahmed Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of National Petroleum Construction Company, said that the company has contributed significantly to the development of the oil and gas industry in the United Arab Emirates and the GCC countries as well as a number of neighboring countries through the completion of more than 1,190 projects since its establishment in 1973. .
He explained that the company has carried out during its operations in the various oil markets of the local, Gulf and regional pipelines of marine oil and gas transport exceeded the total length of 6199 kilometers at a time when the extension of marine cables, a total length of about 1374 kilometers.
He pointed out that the company has four engineering centers with more than 1400 specialized engineers with 22 barges to carry out maritime operations, which is the largest in the region, stressing that the company has a high level of technical and competitive capabilities in the regional and global markets and that the total manufacturing area of the company is about 1.3 million square meters.
He explained that the aim of the expansion is to meet the increasing demand for projects and services of the company in the field of construction and engineering services for the oil and gas fields, noting that the production capacity of the industrial areas of the company reaches about 19.2 million hours per year, while the production capacity of the engineering offices of the company about 3.2 million hours per year.
With regard to the company’s activity in the Saudi market, he said that Saudi Aramco, the largest oil company in the world, has granted the National Petroleum Construction Company to date 10 contracts with a total value of about 7.3 billion dirhams.
In the company’s efforts in the field of Emiratisation and the empowerment of national cadres and rehabilitation, Al-Dhaheri pointed out that the company provides job opportunities for 300 citizens at the present time, of which 194 engineers, 21 technicians and 85 administrators, including 9 persons of the workforce in the senior administrative positions of the company, 40%.
