HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, issued Amiri Decree No. 5 of 2019 regarding the Smart Gate for Smart Payment in the Ajman Government, effective from the date of its issuance and the Department of Finance is responsible for managing and operating the payment portal.
The decision stipulates that government agencies shall commit to linking their electronic payment services to the payment portal in accordance with the time schedule adopted by the Department in cooperation and coordination with the Ajman Government, subject to the applicable legislation.
The decision authorizes the government authority to collect the financial dues of any federal or local government agency or any of the private sector entities through the payment portal in accordance with the mechanism, controls and conditions determined by the head of the department.
Government agencies meet for payment by their customers through the payment portal of the specified fees and are included in the revenues of the Department.
This decision shall be published in the official gazette of the Emirate and shall be distributed to the concerned authorities to act in accordance with this law.
