Brazilian business delegation to discuss investment opportunities in Sharjah

A delegation of Brazilian businesswomen discussed ways to enhance cooperation and enter into new partnerships with the Sharjah Businesswomen Council and take advantage of the investment opportunities and benefits offered by the business environment in the emirate.
The Sharjah Businesswomen’s Council of the Namaa Women’s Development Foundation hosted the Brazilian delegation as a continuation of the meeting held in Sao Paulo in August.
The visit included a series of meetings between the visiting delegation and a number of concerned government bodies such as the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah and the Sharjah Airport Free Zone Authority to inform them of the procedures for establishing companies and the advantages and facilities provided by the two institutions to investors.
During the visit, a workshop entitled “How to use social networks to support and develop your own project” was organized by the delegation, along with a number of members of the Sharjah Businesswomen Council presented by Patricia Silva, founder of IT Group in Brazil.
The workshop tackled means of benefiting from the technological means, especially the means of social communication, in enhancing the presence of companies in the market and expanding the scope of its business activities.
The workshop provided businesswomen from the Sharjah Businesswomen’s Council with the opportunity to interact with their counterparts from Brazil and exchange experiences and knowledge on utilizing e-platforms to successfully launch their projects and expand the reach of their brand.
The number of social media users in Brazil reached 122 million in 2017, accounting for 87.7 percent of the country’s total Internet users, making Brazil the fourth largest Internet market in the world, according to a report by WebSocial.
Sheikha Hind Bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Businesswomen Council, said that the Council organized this visit to explore promising opportunities that contribute to building new partnerships with Brazilian businesswomen. She pointed out that companies and projects managed and owned by businesswomen in Sharjah have proved capable of playing an important role In promoting the national economy and promoting its growth, which calls for activating this role in various ways and on a wider scale.
