October 13 We are days away from the start of the 2023 Sharjah Consultative Council elections, which are a national occasion in the UAE in general and in the Emirate of Sharjah in particular, through which the various spectrums of society in the emirate are represented to strengthen democracy and empower citizens in making decisions and directing policies in various fields and achieving Sustainable development of the emirate. The elections for the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah reflect the spirit of democracy and the participation of all citizens of the emirate in the political process to express their opinions and choose those who represent them and present their interests under the parliamentary dome. It is no secret that the success of these elections depends greatly on the participation of voters by going to the polls and participating in this democratic process in person or electronically. Therefore, voters must pay a great deal of attention to these elections and participate in them, as they are considered one of the influential means of achieving development and prosperity in the Emirate of Sharjah. The 2023 Advisory Council elections are an opportunity to provide distinguished representatives capable of providing advice and advice in an effective and constructive manner to local government. As confirmed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Federation and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, that this Council will have an active role in developing society and serving the people, by finding solutions to current issues and enhancing cooperation between the government and all the people. Moreover, the Advisory Council represents a space through which opinions and ideas can be exchanged between members and the government and to promote dialogue and constructive dialogue. The Advisory Council is a platform that allows participants to express their opinions and discuss issues of common interest, and enhances political awareness and a sense of belonging to the homeland. In the end, the Emirate of Sharjah looks forward to the success of this electoral wedding by forming an advisory council capable of assuming responsibility and meeting the aspirations of the people.
