The first official commercial flights of Al-Haramain Expressway, from Madinah to Makkah, through King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh and Jeddah Province, were launched today. The flight, which took off from Al Haramain train station in the city, carried 417 passengers heading towards Mecca. Engineer Saad Al-Shehri, Project Manager in Madinah, said that the day and evening seats for both hospitality and business were booked in full while the flight coincided with another similar launch to the train in the opposite direction from Mecca to Medina through the Jeddah train stations and King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh and the same number Of passengers. Dr. Ramih Al Rumaih, President of the Public Transport Authority, said that the launch of the official operation came after the introduction of the operating alliance of the project / torch / requirements of the operating plan, to start operating from today, 4 days a week, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, The number of daily trips will be gradually increased to include all weekdays. He pointed out that the journey time will gradually decrease to two hours between Mecca and Medina for direct flights and two and 20 minutes between Mecca and Medina on trips interrupted by a stop at Jeddah station and King Abdullah Economic City.
