Construction costs rise in Abu Dhabi during the second quarter of 2018

–  The rise in the prices of construction costs was 3.2% during the second quarter of 2018 compared to the same period of 2017, after the index increased from 96.1% to 99.1% during the monitoring period shown by the data released today by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center. On the quarterly level, the cost of construction costs in the second quarter of this year rose by 0.2% compared to prices in the first quarter of last year and the index rose from 99% to 99.1% in the period from April to June. The index of construction costs is one of the statistical indicators that constitute an important input in planning and research in various fields. The statistical centers in different countries of the world are keen to calculate these figures. The most important groups that contributed to the increase in the rate of construction costs during the second quarter of 2018 are the “labor force” due to a rise in their prices by 1.8% and their weight in the index index is 29.5%. The “Finishing Materials” group contributed to the reduction in the rate of construction costs during the second quarter of 2018 compared to the first quarter of the same year, where prices fell by 1.5%, the weight of this group constitutes 26% of the index index.
