Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Medbouli met today at the Council of Ministers in Cairo with a delegation from the Federation of Arab Stock Exchanges, including Fadi Khalaf, member of the Federation of Arab Stock Exchanges.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Council of Ministers, Counselor Nader Saad said in a statement after the meeting that the meeting comes on the sidelines of the meetings of the “10th Conference of the Federation of Arab Stock Exchanges” which begins its work tomorrow in Cairo, in order to emphasize Egypt’s support for the efforts of cooperation and integration between the Arab stock exchanges, In promoting development efforts in the Arab region.
He said that the Egyptian Prime Minister stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and integration between the Arab stock exchanges, especially in light of the pivotal role played by stock exchanges and financial markets in the global economy, and welcomed the transition of the presidency of the Union to Egypt during the ongoing meetings.
The heads of the Arab stock exchanges also affirmed their full support for initiatives to achieve integration between the Arab financial markets.
