Dnata raises stake in Italian land handling company to 70 per cent

Dnata, the global air services provider, has been using an option to buy an additional 40% of Airport Handling SPA, raising its stake in this Italian ground handling company to 70%. Dnata now has a majority representation in the board of directors of this company, which manages its daily operations since its initial investment in 2016. Founded in 2014, Airport Handling offers various passenger, cargo and aircraft services to more than 60 air carriers using the Milan and Malin Malpensa LIN airports. Dnata’s additional investment in this company is a confirmation of its commitment to the Italian market, which operates catering centers in 22 airports. “After two years of successful collaboration and excellent customer service, our investment in Airport Handling has been announced,” said Stuart Angus, Senior Vice President, International Airports Operations and Subsidiaries, in a statement. “We are confident that Dnata and other stakeholders will benefit from this. A strategic partnership that embodies its vision and commitment to the Italian market.
