DP World and the Jebel Ali Free Zone held the 2019 Partners Forum, a special gathering of key partners from around the world who promote Jafza services.
The forum was attended by HE Hamad Buamim, Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a member of Jafza’s Board of Directors, which was moderated by Ethan Trainor, Founder and CEO of E Trainor Media.
During the session, Buamim presented his insights and insights into the business climate in the UAE and the success of the Jafza model and touched upon the driving forces of the business community in Dubai, stressing the importance of technology in shaping customer experience.
In a panel discussion attended by HE Juma Mohammed Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Economy, Ananiya Narayan, Executive Director of Hunter Foods Ltd., Dr. Ahmed Hossam, Chairman of Quest Vitamins Middle East, and Mehan Shah, Managing Director of Supply Chain, Executive Director and General Manager of DP World – UAE Region and Chief Executive Officer of JAFZA discussed a range of topics, including the many challenges and opportunities that the sectors they represent will face during the period leading up to Expo 2020 Dubai and Revolutionary techniques such as the Qin Block and the data and how they benefited from establishing their businesses in Jafza.
Ibtisam Al Kaabi, Head of Sales at Jafza, briefed the companies on the latest developments in the Free Zone in 2019. The annual awards ceremony was also held where DP World and Jafza honored the partners and sponsors for their long-term trust.
Dubai Ports World and the Jebel Ali Free Zone are two of the two leading commercial enterprises in the UAE, accounting for more than 33 percent of Dubai’s GDP and nearly 11 percent of the UAE’s GDP.
