Dubai Ports World Group (Jebel Ali Free Zone) has launched the Green Warehouses initiative, the first of its kind in the UAE, to help companies reduce their carbon footprint.
The initiative builds on DP World’s long-term sustainable growth in line with Goal 9 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to build advanced infrastructure, stimulate sustainable global industries and encourage innovation.
DP World continues to implement an ambitious program to make Jafza warehouses more energy-efficient and refrigerated storage facilities run on solar power.

The energy produced by solar panels is estimated to be sufficient to supply 3 thousand clean-powered homes annually.
