 The value of Dubai’s foreign trade with Germany in 2017 was about 40 billion dirhams, according to Ahmed Mahbub Musabeh, Director of Dubai Customs.
This came during his meeting with Günther Joseph Rauer, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dubai, in the presence of Mr. Khalil Saqr Bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communications at Dubai Customs
The meeting discussed prospects of cooperation between Dubai Customs and the German consulate and opportunities to enhance coordination to support the growth of trade exchange between Dubai and Germany to serve the common interests between the UAE and the Federal Republic of Germany.
Musabah stressed the deep ties between the two friendly countries, pointing out that Dubai Customs is keen to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the German diplomatic agencies to ensure the best services and commercial and customs facilities for German companies.
He pointed out that Dubai’s foreign trade with Germany is gaining increasing importance as a result of the expansion of the trade with the European Union. The Federal Republic of Germany is one of the most important EU countries in terms of trade exchange, and we have excellent economic and trade relations with Germany. Communicate with the diplomatic bodies, the German Labor Council and companies to ensure that they benefit from all the advanced services provided by the Department to traders and investors from around the world.

He added that Dubai Customs is developing its relations with Dubai Trade Partners as a key objective to ensure that the partners have the best customs facilities and enable their companies to achieve real added value that enhances their revenues from Dubai’s choice of trade destination to support economic growth in the emirate through diversifying economic activities
