Egypt and Kuwait sign five agreements with investments of LE 5 billion

The Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation signed five agreements with Kuwait Fund for Development worth 86.1 million Kuwaiti Dinars, equivalent to 5 billion pounds in the framework of the Sinai Peninsula Development Program.

The agreement is worth KD 60 million to finance the tunnel project in Sharm El Sheikh under the Sinai Peninsula Development Program and the state plan for infrastructure development and road network development in the vital region. The second agreement is worth KD 17.5 million The financing of the road project 4, as part of the government’s program for the development of the Sinai Peninsula, with the aim of improving transportation within the Sinai Peninsula.
The third agreement is a grant of 500 thousand Kuwaiti Dinars to support the second phase of the activities of the Center for Strategic Documents of the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet to document economic and social reform programs in Egypt to build a documentary knowledge base at the national level.
The fourth agreement is worth 100 thousand Kuwaiti Dinars, which is a grant to support the feasibility study of date palm cultivation and date processing in Egypt.
In the framework of benefiting from the surplus funding of the control and signaling system on the Banha-Zagazig-Ismailia-Port Said railway line, the amendment of this agreement was signed to benefit about 7 million Kuwaiti Dinars (409 million pounds) in support of the transport sector and modernization of the railway fleet. Financing 100 new tractors for the Egyptian Railway Authority, which ultimately serves the interest of the citizen.
