Egypt signed an agreement today with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to support the first phase of the project of the development of the first line of the subway with a funding of 205 million euros. The agreement was signed by Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, and the European Bank by Janet Heckman, Executive Director of the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Region, in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the government of his country to promote the transport sector to achieve a link between the different parts of the Republic to serve the objectives of development .. Janet Heckman said that the transport sector in Egypt is the most important sector of interest to the bank through the implementation of projects that contribute to providing better transport services to citizens, including the agreement signed today.
