Emirates Air Cargo – Emirates’ cargo arm – provides fast and secure transportation for Zambia’s exports, which are mostly fast-moving products that should arrive at their destinations in a timely, healthy and timely manner.
Zambia is characterized by natural resources and fertility of soil and abundance of water, which contributes to support the agricultural sector and depends economic growth on the export of products, especially vegetables and fruits to global markets such as the United Kingdom, Europe and New Zealand.
“Exports are a key pillar of Zambia’s economy and agricultural products account for about 10 percent of the country’s annual export revenues,” said Evans Sincala, head of Emirates Shipping in Zambia. The UAE’s air cargo in 2008 transported 1,500 tonnes of fast-moving product exports.
During the fiscal year 2017/2018, Emirates Air Cargo carried a total of 2.6 million tonnes of cargo, including more than 400,000 tons of shipments of fruits, vegetables, flowers, seafood and fresh meat.
