Emirates Transport Launches First Natural Gas Forklift

Emirates Transport announced the launch of the first compact natural gas forklift at the state level.
Eng. Amer Ali Al Harmoudi, Executive Director of Technical Services at Emirates Transport, said that this project will achieve a quantum leap in the world of transforming vehicles and mechanisms for its environmental and economic benefits. The conversion of the crane to work with compressed natural gas instead of petroleum gas or cooking gas contributes to reducing carbon emissions to about 25%, and also provides 75% to 80% of the cash cost and previous packing expenses.
The conversion also increases the operating life of the lift engine and reduces its operating temperature.
The Executive Director of the Technical Services Department confirmed that the Union Center for Natural Gas Vehicles Transport at Emirates Transport is a specialized and approved center and applies the best practices and international standards adopted in the conversion of vehicles to work with natural gas, including ECER110, ECER115, ESMA, TUV & AV & BV. He pointed out that these companies are international and represent the third party to inspect and evaluate the gas system after the conversion process. The conversion operations are carried out by a specialized technical cadre with expertise in the field of converting vehicles to operate the natural gas system , Certified by specialized international companies.
