Etisalat Group’s consolidated revenues increase to AED 13.1 billion in the first quarter of 2018

Etisalat Group today announced its consolidated financial results for the first three months ended March 31, 2018.
With a total subscriber base of 144 million, representing an annual growth of 3%
The Group’s consolidated revenues amounted to AED 13.1 billion, an annual growth of 5% and EBITDA of AED 6.5 billion, an annual increase of 2% and a margin of 49%.
Etisalat’s net profit after deducting the federal franchise was AED 2.1 billion and a net profit margin of 16%.
“Etisalat’s results for the first quarter of this year are an extension of the Group’s good performance in the previous period and a promising start for 2018,” said Saleh Abdullah Al Abdooli, Chief Executive Officer, Etisalat Group. “We continue to deliver added value to customers and shareholders alike “He said.
“We continue to face the many changes that are taking place in the telecommunications sector by embracing digital innovation and forging important partnerships to ensure future success and maintain Etisalat’s leadership position in the region.”
He pointed to the interactive process with customers and their role in allowing them to experience the innovative digital solutions and capabilities that enable Etisalat to develop its portfolio of services and products as well as enhance the overall customer experience.
He explained that the adoption and adoption of new technologies is a key part of Etisalat’s ambitious strategy. He stressed that while Etisalat operates in multiple markets with varying levels of digital maturity, the local market remains the driving force for the deployment of these digital capabilities.
