Launch of the new road network of Sharjah Airport

Sharjah International Airport and Public Works Department inaugurated today the new road network of Sharjah Airport with a length of 1200 meters, including the 330-meter suspended bridge at a cost of about AED 85 million. The bridge is a direct access to Sharjah Airport for arrivals from Sharjah City And other emirates. The project is part of a series of projects approved by the Airport Authority in order to develop the operational operations of the airport to increase its capacity and improve its services in a manner appropriate to Sharjah City and contribute to accommodate the rapid growth in the number of passengers. Ali Salem Al Madfaa, Chairman of Sharjah International Airport Authority, said that the project of developing the new entrance to Sharjah Airport comes within the framework of the comprehensive plan set by the Authority under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council in order to accommodate the expected growth in the number of passengers through the airport in the coming years, which include the construction of the bridge and the development of the alternative route of about 2.1 km on two tracks to 4 paths, Li along with the establishment of more than 1,000 additional position of passengers and airport staff and the establishment of rain water drainage network in positions near the airport and area parking area.
