The value of foreign trade between the UAE and the Republic of Vietnam – including the free zone trade – reached about $ 9 billion in 2017, including exports of about $ 324 million, re-exports from the UAE to Vietnam by $ 282 million and imports worth about $ 8.4 billion.
A detailed analytical study entitled “The reality of foreign trade between the UAE and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”, issued by the Department of Analysis and Trade and Industrial Information at the Ministry of Economy, highlighted the developments of the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and their development opportunities during the coming period. .
The UAE ranked first in the world of imports from Vietnam, the world’s third largest import of self-processing machines from Viet Nam and the 15th in the world in import of parts and accessories except covers and 18th in the world in the import of shoes from textile materials and ranked 21st globally in the import of shoes from leather During the year 2016.
Vietnam’s imports from the world’s countries during the year 2016 amounted to 201.6 billion dollars compared to 165.8 billion dollars during the year 2015, a rise of 21.6%.
The UAE is the world’s 18th largest exporter of non-crude oil to Vietnam and the world’s 24th in the export of electronic circuits to Vietnam in 2016.
According to the study, the value of foreign trade between the UAE and Vietnam – including the free zone trade – reached about $ 9 billion in 2017, including exports of about $ 324 million, re-exports from the UAE to Vietnam by $ 282 million and imports worth about $ 8.4 billion.

The UAE ranked eighth in the list of the most important importers of Vietnam globally and the world’s 32nd ranking on the export level of Vietnam in 2016.
