Launching the “Economic License” in Abu Dhabi through the “Tam”

The Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi (ADSED) and the Smart Systems and Services Authority have launched the “Economic License” system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through Abu Dhabi’s unified government services system.
Saif Al Hajeri, Head of the Department of Economic Development, said that the launch of the economic licensing system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through the Tam system comes within the framework of a series of strategic initiatives that the Department is implementing during the current year under the guidance of the Executive Committee of the Executive Council of the Emirate. Was adopted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council to accelerate the pace of Abu Dhabi’s economic development over the next three years.
He said that thanks to the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Business Center of the Department, the rate of immediate licensing of economic activities in the emirate increased from 70.8% to 91% of the total number of economic activities licensed in the emirate within one month.
Mohammed Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Business Center, said that the Tam system enables the investor to receive the license electronically. It includes the license number, membership number of the Chamber of Commerce, the contract of incorporation of the relevant legal forms and the delivery of the fees. The TAM system is the first of its kind in the region and aims to bring about a radical transformation in the introduction of the new generation of government services in the concept of “integrated flights” and is a unified point of contact for the completion of a complete series of government services
Tam’s platform enables the investor in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to terminate all government transactions related to the issuance of the economic license after completing the process of leasing his commercial premises and documenting the contract with the Real Estate Office. The investor’s journey towards issuing an economic license for his investment activity is limited to the registration of the Smart Pass system of the Department of Economic Development website and the selection of the Tam package which will enable him to use the automated search engine to register the trade name, The fees for booking the trade name and obtaining the initial approval of the individuals, in preparation for receipt of the required approvals and payment of all fees due for obtaining the license, without the need to visit any government service center.
