Lebanon’s trade deficit in the first quarter of 2019 reached $ 4.09 billion, rising from $ 3.99 billion in the first quarter of 2018, against an increase of 2.9% annually to $ 4.95 billion, while total exports grew by 5.06% Per annum to $ 855.8.
According to a report issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Economy, in terms of value, metal products were the most important imports to Lebanon in the first quarter of 2019. They accounted for 32.34% of total imported goods, valued at $ 1.6 billion.
