The Middle East Financial Technology and Payments Exhibition (MEEFTEC) was launched in its 15th edition for the second consecutive year at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.
HE Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Kareem Al Khulaifi, Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), stressed the importance of cooperation between various government sectors and local banks, pointing out that this contributed to initiatives to develop the financial sector related to digital transformation, , To advance the aspirations and objectives of the vision of the Kingdom 2030, and meet the requirements of integrated work to achieve common goals.
He pointed out that one of the most important objectives that the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency seeks to achieve in this context is to reduce the dependence on cash circulation through the continuous development of the infrastructure of the national payment systems in order to facilitate the transition to a technical environment for payments, Non-monetary as one of the objectives of the financial sector development program.
His Excellency pointed out that the development witnessed by the digital payment systems in the Kingdom is the focus of discussion among specialists and knowledge of the most important of the companies that work in this vital sector, which touches on aspects of our daily lives.
