The opening of the main link point for natural gas trading between Egypt and Jordan

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Eng. Tarek Al-Mulla, and Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hala Zowati, inaugurated the project of developing the main compressor station for natural gas line in Jordan in Aqaba, which is the main link point for natural gas trading between Egypt and Jordan.
A statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum said the plant includes four gas compressors with a maximum total capacity of 22 MW.
During the inspection, the two ministers reviewed the services of operating the gas lines and how to follow the system of control and control “Escada” to operate the natural gas line within the Kingdom of Jordan along a length of 450 kilometers and follow the pressure and quantities to receive natural gas and distribution to supply power plants and industrial customers.
The two ministers commended the modern and advanced technical techniques used by Fajr Jordanian Egyptian Company to follow up the work to ensure the continuation of the safe operation of the natural gas line in the Kingdom.
They stressed that there are many areas of joint cooperation between the two countries that can contribute to achieving positive results that benefit both sides. He pointed out that the coming period will witness more support to give impetus to the joint projects which serve as a springboard to support economic relations between them.
