Ras Al Khaimah launches ‘Small Merchant’ initiative

The Commercial Control and Protection Department launched the “Small Trader” initiative, which targets school students in the foundation stage, by raising awareness of the assets of selling and buying, not falling into commercial fraud, distinguishing between original and traditional goods and the rights of all parties.
The Department implemented the “Small Trader” initiative in one of the emirate’s schools, both theoretical and practical, by providing a platform for sale, with the participation of the students themselves, who represented a group of them as sellers and a group of consumers as they were trained on how to acquire the important and healthy need for them Of the price of the real product, and the need to receive the remaining of the price taking the invoice at the end of the purchase, and have been trained sellers of children to demonstrate honesty and credibility in selling and avoid fraud and lying in dealing with consumers.
Asmaa al-Dahmani, the initiative’s supervisor, said: “We have noticed the children’s enthusiasm for this initiative, specifically the practical aspect of it, because they equip them with intelligent shopping skills and protect themselves from fraud or loss of rights. We look forward to similar initiatives in the coming period.
