Research the fields of agricultural investment and industries between the UAE and Ethiopia

 Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade, discussed means of enhancing cooperation frameworks in the fields of agricultural investment and food industries with Ethiopia.
This came during a meeting with Ethiopian Trade Minister Iaina Zweidi and the accompanying government delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dubai on the sidelines of their visit to the UAE to participate in Gulf Food 2018, which will be held from February 18 to 22 at Dubai World Trade Center.
The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation in the areas of agricultural investment, food industries, tourism, logistics, shipping and air transport. He also reviewed the opportunities available to consolidate economic and trade ties and develop the horizons of joint relations between the two countries.
Abdullah said the UAE attaches great importance to strengthening its trade and economic relations with Ethiopia. He pointed out that the Ethiopian market enjoys rich natural resources and offers promising opportunities to invest in a number of sectors and sectors that are priority on the country’s development agenda, most notably in agriculture and food security. Transport and tourism sectors.
He stressed the need to intensify visits and meetings especially at the level of the business community to encourage investors and the private sector to strengthen partnership with the Ethiopian market through a review of opportunities and facilities and incentives provided by the private sector plays a key role in the development of prospects for economic cooperation and trade joint.
He pointed out that investment in agricultural fields and food industries is one of the most important sectors that attract UAE investments abroad in light of the country’s imports of about 80% of its food needs, stressing that the Ethiopian market has the potential and promising potential in this regard both in agricultural crops and livestock, Plants that fall into the state’s interests
